(PERRY, Okla.) – Aug. 1, 2023 – Bluepeak will start construction early this month on a roughly $250,000 expansion of its fiber network to reach more homes and businesses in Perry.

The new work comes roughly one year after the fiber internet provider completed construction on Perry’s first fiber-optic internet network, part of Bluepeak’s $2 million investment to build high-speed internet to nearly 2,000 residences and businesses here.

The expansion area – depicted in the Google Maps image below – covers the area west of Lions Park and Rotary Park, including the area surrounding the Interstate 35 and U.S. Route 77 interchange and the Interstate 35 and U.S. Route 64 interchange.

Bluepeak will reach more than 50 additional homes and businesses in the new area with its fiber-optic network when construction is finished. In addition, new homes and businesses that build in the area will also have access to Bluepeak’s fiber service. The roughly $250,000 expansion project is scheduled to be completed by the end of October.

“When I heard that Bluepeak was coming, I immediately started looking into it to increase my upload speed,” recalled Tetik. “With Bluepeak, I can upload and download materials almost instantly. It’s done before I even have time to think about it, it’s great.”

In June, the fiber provider connected its 1,000th customer in Perry since launching service in the city last year. In addition, Bluepeak has partnered with home-grown Ditch Witch for much of their construction.
