We’re all about improving connectivity and growing opportunities in the heartland.
That’s why we’re expanding our fiber network every day.
Philip Thomas and his wife, Michelle, have loved their Bluepeak internet service so far.
(LAWTON, Okla.) – Oct. 20, 2022 – Retired Navy veteran Philip Thomas has been in Lawton for nearly 20 years now. He’s waited almost that long for fast, reliable, affordable internet in the Oklahoma community.
Thomas was one of the first in Lawton to switch to Bluepeak when it began connecting customers in the community last month. After years of spotty internet and limited options, Thomas was ready for a change.
“It would come and go a lot,” he said. “Did a lot of buffering. We had Fidelity because there was no other service offered in our area. We’re just trying to find a good internet service.”
Thomas found Bluepeak recently and said he’s been “amazed” with the fiber provider’s reliability and customer service for all of his internet needs.
“The install was really quick too,” recalled Thomas. “They were in and out in no time at all.”
Bluepeak’s fiber not only offers more reliable, affordable service, their speeds are also faster than many in Lawton have experience before at one to five gigabits-per-second (Gbps) for homes and 10 Gbps for businesses. The internet provider also offers transparent, all-in pricing, where the price on the website is the price on the bill. That means Bluepeak is easy on the budget in these uncertain economic times.
With Bluepeak service, local residences and businesses get faster speed, equal upload and download speeds, and eero Secure, which provides whole-home WiFi and protects devices from online threats, ads and allows for customized content filtering.
Thomas’s frustrations with internet service in Lawton are typical across the Sooner State. According to broadbandnow.com, Oklahoma ranks 46th in the nation in internet coverage, speed and availability. A Kansas City Federal Reserve study estimated 30 percent of Oklahomans have access to fewer than two wired internet providers.
Bluepeak aims to improve options for Oklahomans by expanding its fiber network to several Sooner State communities. According to Thomas, they’re on the right track. He said he would recommend Bluepeak and has “been telling everybody about it.”
Bluepeak service is now available to Lawton residents in the area of Cache Road between 67th Street and 82nd Street. More neighborhoods will have access as construction moves south from there. Those interested can confirm service availability with their address or sign up for updates throughout the process at mybluepeak.com.
