Lawton Fort Sill Chamber Names Bluepeak Rising Star Award Winner

(LAWTON, Okla.) June 12, 2023 – The Lawton Fort Sill Chamber of Commerce presented Bluepeak the Rising Star Award at the organization’s 2023 Annual Banquet on Friday, June 9. Randy Beutler, Government Affairs Director, and Richard Emery, Business Account Executive, were on hand to accept the award on behalf of the fiber internet provider.
Bluepeak launched service in Lawton last September and the Oklahoma community has welcomed the company with open arms. More than 6,500 homes and businesses have access to high-speed internet service now, as Bluepeak recently passed 1,000 subscribers in the city. One of the company’s first customers here, Lawton-native Philip Thomas has been “amazed” with Bluepeak and recommends it to “everybody.”
The recent completion of more construction work in the city was a key benchmark on the path to Bluepeak’s goal of building fiber to 40,000 homes and businesses with their $40 million investment in Lawton.
Thus far, Bluepeak’s service area in Lawton covers some of the west and central parts of the city – including some of the neighborhoods of Highland Park Meadowbrook/Heinz, Northwest Cache Road, Stonebridge Estates, Wyatt Acres, Northwest 67th Street and Crosby Park – and now more of Highland Park, along with additions of Arlington and Old Town North.
