(ENID, Okla.) June 8, 2023 – Once school let out for the summer, Rick Luetjen packed up his things in Woodward, Oklahoma, and drove nearly 90 miles east to his new home in Enid. He was excited to be starting a new job teaching and coaching football for the Enid High School Plainsmen. Rick’s to-do list to get ready for the next school year and football season was a long one. Near the top of that list was finding a good, affordable internet provider.

“I started doing some research and reading reviews, and [Bluepeak was] head and shoulders above everybody else,” Luetjen said.

Luetjen’s research brought him to Enid’s newest fiber broadband provider, Bluepeak, and on June 1, he became the 2,000th subscriber in Enid since service was launched last year. To mark the milestone in Enid, Bluepeak presented Luetjen with a gift basket with swag and goodies.

“I’m excited to see how [Bluepeak] products work. I’m a big fan of underground fiber compared to a dish up on my roof,” added Luetjen.

In addition to reading positive reviews, Luetjen cited affordable pricing as his reason for going with Bluepeak. The fiber internet provider features a minimum service tier of 1 gigabit-per second (Gbps) for just $50 per month – which is a speed and price many in Oklahoma aren’t used to having.

Two years after breaking ground on its $23 million investment to bring high-speed internet to the communityBluepeak’s service area in Enid covers much of the north and west parts of the city. Service is available to much of the neighborhoods of Heritage Hills, Chisholm North, Willow West, Country Club Drive, Quail Creek/Feightner, Chestnut & Garland, Village/Rolling Oaks/Quail, West Randolph, The Commons, Cherokee West, The Place, Mistletoe Drive and Willow East. Ashley Lane RV & Mobile Home and High Point Community, just south of Crossline Park, are also serviceable.
