Bluepeak Fiber FAQs

What is happening to my service?

Bluepeak is upgrading your neighborhood with fiber internet. Construction is taking place street by street as we expand access to fast, reliable service, and your home is in an area being upgraded.

When is this happening in my neighborhood?

Every neighborhood has its own upgrade timeline. We’ll send you the construction timeline and your conversion deadline directly through bill messages, mail, and email. You can also see this information anytime by logging into your account portal.

How long will the whole upgrade process take?

The outside work to upgrade your neighborhood can take several weeks, and we’ll stay in touch with you at each milestone. The in-home fiber installation itself takes about 90 minutes.

Will crews be on my property?

In most cases, yes. Crews may need exterior access to your property to install fiber lines (either underground or overhead, depending on your area). The work is designed to minimize disruption, and crews won’t need to enter your home during this stage.

What are the flags and paint markings in my yard?

Before any digging happens, utility companies mark the locations of underground gas, water, electric, and other lines so our crews can work safely. These markings are temporary and will fade or be removed after construction is complete.

When do I get fiber turned on at my home?

After the fiber line is in place in your area, we’ll let you know it’s time to schedule your in-home installation. You’ll be able to pick an appointment window in the portal that works for you.

How will Bluepeak keep me informed?

You’ll receive updates by direct mail, email and text message for current customers, as upgrades moves forward, when crews are working in your area, when your fiber line is ready, and when it’s time to schedule your installation. Current customers can also check the account portal anytime to see where you are in the process.
