Lawton Has Greater Access to Fiber Internet as Bluepeak Completes More Construction
Fiber Internet Provider Offers Multi-Gigabit Speeds to Residences and Businesses at Affordable Rates
(LAWTON, Okla.) Jan. 31, 2023 – Bluepeak has completed more construction to expand its fiber internet network to a new area of Lawton.
More homes and businesses in the Wyatt Acres, Northwest 67th Street and Crosby Park neighborhoods on the west side of Lawton can now access Bluepeak’s fiber internet service. The fiber internet service area now includes much of the Wyatt Acres neighborhood east of Willow Creek Park to Northwest 67th Street and south of the park down just past Wyatt Lake, as well as the area surrounding Crosby Park Elementary between Northwest Quanah Parker Trailway down to Northwest Cache Road. Those interested in signing up for fiber internet service – with packages including 1 to 5 gigabits-per-second for homes and 10 Gbps and beyond for business – can check service availability at their address on mybluepeak.com.
The completion of construction work in the area is a key benchmark on the path to Bluepeak’s goal of building fiber to 40,000 homes and businesses with their $40 million investment in Lawton, announced in 2021.
Thus far, Bluepeak’s service area in Lawton covers some of the west part of the city, including some of the neighborhoods of Meadowbrook/Heinz, Northwest Cache Road, Stonebridge Estates and now the aforementioned Wyatt Acres, Northwest 67th Street and Crosby Park neighborhoods.
“At Bluepeak, we believe that the size of the town shouldn’t determine the quality of the technology they have access to,” said Jeff Seidenfaden, Bluepeak’s Chief Commercial and Customer Experience Officer. “We’ve been overwhelmed by the interest in our fiber internet service in Lawton and we’re building as quickly and safely as we can to reach as many as possible here.”
The Lawton community has welcomed Bluepeak with open arms since the new fiber provider launched service last year. One of the first Bluepeak customers here, Lawton-native Philip Thomas has been “amazed” with Bluepeak and recommends it to “everybody.”
After wrapping up the latest construction zones in the west section of Lawton, Bluepeak construction will continue in part of the Northwest Cache Road and Crosby Park neighborhoods (between Northwest 75th Street and Northwest Great Plains Boulevard), the south side of the Northwest 67th Street neighborhood (between Northwest Ash Avenue and West Gore Boulevard) the Cameron University area (between West Gore Boulevard and Southwest G Avenue and Southwest 38th Street and Southwest 17th and 16th Streets).
