Lawton has Greater Access to Fiber Internet as Bluepeak Completes More Construction

(LAWTON, Okla.) July 3, 2023 – Bluepeak has completed more construction to expand its fiber internet network to a new area of Lawton this month.

More than 1,300 more homes and businesses in the Old Town North neighborhood can now access Bluepeak’s fiber internet service. The service area expansion covers homes and businesses around Thirty-Fifth Division Park, Washington Elementary, Ron Stephens Stadium and Harmon Park, west of Northwest 2^nd Street.

Those interested in signing up for fiber internet service – with packages including 1 to 5 gigabits-per-second for homes and 10 Gbps and beyond for business – can check service availability at their address on mybluepeak.com.

The completion of construction work in the area is a key benchmark on the path to Bluepeak’s goal of building fiber to 40,000 homes and businesses with their $40 million investment in Lawton.

Thus far, Bluepeak’s service area in Lawton covers some of the west and central parts of the city – including some of the neighborhoods of Highland Park Meadowbrook/Heinz, Northwest Cache Road, Stonebridge Estates, Wyatt Acres, Northwest 67^th Street and Crosby Park, Highland Park, Arlington and Old Town North now.

The Lawton community has welcomed Bluepeak with open arms since the new fiber provider launched service last year. One of the first Bluepeak customers here, Lawton-native Philip Thomas has been “amazed” with Bluepeak and recommends it to “everybody.” Bluepeak also recently installed their 1,000^th customer in Lawton, Joy Howeth, who says she’s saving $100 per month after switching to the new fiber provider. In addition, Bluepeak was honored with the Lawton Fort Sill Chamber of Commerce’s Rising Star Award at the organization’s 2023 Annual Banquet in June.

After wrapping up the latest construction zones in central Lawton, Bluepeak construction will continue in the Liberty Heights and Fields and Dunnings neighborhoods of north Lawton, south of Northwest Cache Road.
