Blog: KELO-TV in Sioux Falls Speaks with Bluepeak

Local CBS affiliate discusses Bluepeak’s recent expansion in the Sioux Falls area.

KELO-TV, the CBS affiliate in Sioux Falls, S.D., covered Bluepeak, detailing the fiber internet provider’s expansion of services in the community. Reporter Bridget Bennett spoke with Bluepeak Install Tech Caden Johnson and Director of Communications Jesse Granger on the benefits of competition in the broadband market, while Sioux Falls resident and new Bluepeak customer Kathy Lee shared her experience with the company.

Bluepeak recently announced the completion of more construction in new areas of Sioux Falls. Homes and businesses on the northeast side of the community – in the area south of All Saints around McKennan Park – can now access Bluepeak’s fiber internet service. Those interested in signing up for fiber internet service – with packages including 1 to 5 gigabits-per-second (Gbps) for homes and 10 Gbps and beyond for business – can check service availability at their address on mybluepeak.com.

The completion of construction work in the area is a key benchmark on the path to Bluepeak’s goal of building fiber more Sioux Falls homes and businesses with a $60 million investment in the city. Bluepeak began new fiber construction for Sioux Falls in 2021.
