(CHEYENNE, Wyo.) May 15, 2023 – Bluepeak, the innovative fiber internet provider bringing fast, affordable, reliable internet to Wyoming, diverted more than 1,700 pounds of e-waste from the landfill through its Earth Day recycling event in April alongside the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens and Synetic Technologies.
In addition, as a gesture of appreciation, Bluepeak distributed free potted plants to all who brought in e-waste for recycling at the location, translating into 71,000 kWh energy saved.
“We’re proud to have partnered with the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens and Synetic Technologies to have a positive environmental impact,” said Bluepeak Chief Commercial Officer Lana Frank. “We hope our contributions to sustainability will inspire more to do their part.”
The impact of Bluepeak’s e-waste recycling initiative this year includes:
- 1,785 pounds of e-waste recycled.
- 2,488 pounds of GHG emissions reduced.
- 71,074 kWH of electricity saved.
