Bluepeak Supports Our Veterans

At Bluepeak, we pride ourselves on great service and there’s no service greater than service to our country.

We recognize that America is the land of the free because of the brave. We believe in doing our part to recognize and celebrate those who serve or have served in our armed forces however we can. Here are a few ways we show our appreciation for U.S. military and veterans in our community.

The Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) has recognized Bluepeak with the Patriot Award for support provided directly to our service members and their families.

The Patriot Award reflects the efforts made to support citizen warriors through a wide range of measures including flexible schedules, time off prior to and after deployment, caring for families, and granting leaves of absence if needed.

ESGR is a Department of Defense office that develops and promotes supportive work environments for Service members in the Reserve Components through outreach, recognition, and educational opportunities that increase awareness of applicable laws.

Bluepeak has several team members on staff who serve or have served our nation.

Here are some of the benefits Bluepeak employees who serve or have family members who serve have access to:

  • Military service leave – Bluepeak employees serving in the U.S. Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Coast Guard, and National Guard, have access to unpaid military leave, as needed, to enable them to fulfill their obligations as service members. Employees in the military reserves receive full pay for their two weeks of annual training.
  • Military family leave – In the event a Bluepeak employee is a spouse, parent, grandparent, child or siblings of a service member ordered to active duty, they can receive 10 days leave from their role at Bluepeak.
  • Military Caregiver leave – Through the FMLA, a Bluepeak employee who is the spouse, son, daughter, parent or next of kin of a member of the Armed Forces, National Guard or Reserves have access to 26 weeks of unpaid leave to care for the injured or their ill service member or veteran.
  • Equal employment opportunity – Bluepeak provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.

Bluepeak Service-for-your-Service Campaign

In 2022, we launched the “Service-for-your-Service” sweepstakes to provide four veteran Bluepeak customers with one free month of Internet service in honor of Military Family Appreciation Month. To be eligible, we asked those interested in sharing their stories of service. Here are some of the great stories of service that came from our amazing Bluepeak communities: #BluepeakServiceForYourService
