Every now and then, we hear from our customers that it’s frustrating when the cost of their internet service and TV channels goes up. And we get it. That’s not the kind of news you want to get any time of year! That’s why we want to be completely transparent about what drives that cost.

 

Prices for goods and services have gone up nearly across the board in the US over the last year or more. Like many others, we’ve felt the impact as the cost of the materials, equipment, and personnel necessary to build and maintain our network has also increased. It’s not just Bluepeak, though. Other providers are similarly impacted.

As sure as the leaves change color every fall, the traditional cable channels, broadcast networks, and sports channels we all know and love have reliably raised their rates roughly every year. That’s how many of them can go out and spend billions on premium content like prestige TV shows, film rights, sports, and the kind of stuff we like to watch. And when our cost to carry that content goes up, the cost of the service goes up with it.

FAQs

Will I lose my bundle if I upgrade to the IPTV option?

Your current package will be unbundled. Our approach is to remove all the red tape by allowing you to subscribe to other video services of your choice. For example, you can subscribe to HBO directly, and they often offer a 7-day free trial, and the monthly rate is comparable to or could be a few dollars less than what you are paying now.

How much can I save if I move my TV service to an IPTV option?

Can you guarantee my rate won’t increase again if I upgrade today?

The price you’re quoted is the price you will pay. Occasionally, we adjust pricing, driven by outside factors, such as inflation. For $5 more, you can lock in your Internet rate for 5 years.

When is this increase taking place?

The increase will be effective for all impacted customers on February 1, 2023.

Will I lose my current promotion?

The price increase will impact all TV packages. If you make no change to you account, your internet service’s promotional rate (campaign) will continue until it expires.

Residential Internet

Your Bluepeak Internet service will increase by $5 a month.

Residential Internet and Limited Basic

Your internet service will increase by $5 a month and your Limited Basic TV package will increase by $5 a month.

Residential Internet and My Locals

Your internet service will increase by $5 a month and your My Locals TV package will increase by $5 a month.

Residential Internet and Expanded Basic or Digital

Your internet service will increase by $5 a month and your Expanded Basic or Digital TV package will increase by $8 a month.

Residential Internet and My Locals & Favorites

Your internet service will increase by $5 a month and your My Locals & Favorites TV package will increase by $8 a month.

Residential Internet and My Locals, Favorites & More

Your internet service will increase by $5 a month and your My Locals, Favorites & More TV package will increase by $8 a month.
