Lawton has Greater Access to Fiber Internet as Bluepeak Completes More Construction

Fiber Internet Provider Offers Multi-Gigabit Speeds to Residences and Businesses at Affordable Rates

(LAWTON, Okla.) May 1, 2023Bluepeak has completed more construction to expand its fiber internet network to a new area of Lawton this week.

Roughly 1,200 more homes and businesses in the Western Hills, Northwest 63rd Street / Western Hills and Northwest 67th Street neighborhoods can now access Bluepeak’s fiber internet service. The service area expansion covers homes and businesses south of Northwest Cache Road between the Homeland grocery store and the TownWest Shopping Center and southeast down to Northwest Columbia Avenue.

Those interested in signing up for fiber internet service – with packages including 1 to 5 gigabits-per-second for homes and 10 Gbps and beyond for business – can check service availability at their address on mybluepeak.com.

Bluepeak’s fiber network now reaches more than 4,600 homes and businesses in Lawton. The recent construction progress in the area is a key benchmark on the path to Bluepeak’s goal of building fiber to 40,000 homes and businesses with their $40 million investment in Lawton, announced in 2022.

Thus far, Bluepeak’s service area in Lawton covers some of the west part of the city – including some of the neighborhoods of Meadowbrook/Heinz, Northwest Cache Road, Stonebridge Estates, Wyatt Acres, Western Hills, Northwest 63rd Street / Western Hills, Northwest 67th Street and Crosby Park – and part of central Lawton including Cameron University and the Highland Park neighborhood.

The Lawton community has welcomed Bluepeak with open arms since the new fiber provider launched service last year. One of the first Bluepeak customers here, Lawton-native Philip Thomas has been “amazed” with Bluepeak and recommends it to “everybody.” In addition, Bluepeak will be the top sponsor for the Arts for All Festival in Lawton, from May 12 to 14.

After wrapping up the latest construction zones in west and central Lawton, Bluepeak construction will continue in the area west of the Meadowbrook/Heinz neighborhood and move east from Highland Park into the Mattie Beal area around the Lawton Community Theater.
